Strawberry Pretzel Salad

This strawberry pretzel salad is so easy to make and a great fruit dessert that can be prepared very quickly.

The sweet filling made from strawberries, layered on top of smooth, rich cream cheese and whipped topping with a crunchy pretzel crust combine to make a great fruit salad and dessert recipe all in one.

8-10 servings

You will need 7 ingredients:

- Pretzels
- Butter
- Sugar
- Cream Cheese
- Frozen Whipped Topping
- Strawberry Gelatin
- Frozen Strawberries



Make Ahead for this Salad:

- Prepare the crust layer and allow to cool.
- Soften the cream cheese
- Thaw the frozen whipped topping

Ingredients:

CRUST

pretzels – 2 cups crushed
butter – 3/4 cup melted
sugar – 3 tbsp


CREAM CHEESE FILLING

cream cheese – 8 oz (softened to room temperature)
sugar – 3/4 cup
frozen whipped topping – 8 oz (thawed)


STRAWBERRY TOPPING

strawberry flavored gelatin – 1 (6 oz) package
boiling water – 2 cups
frozen strawberries – 1 package (16 oz size)

CRUST: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, butter and 3 tbsp of sugar. Press into the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool completely.

CREAM CHEESE FILLING: In a bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and the 3/4 cup of sugar. Mix until well combined. Fold in the whipped topping and then spread evenly over the cooled crust.

STRAWBERRY TOPPING: In a bowl, dissolve the gelatin in the boiling water. Add the frozen strawberries and stir to combine. Place bowl in refrigerator and allow mixture to thicken slightly. Carefully pour the topping over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate at least one hour or until set.

Serve strawberry pretzel salad and enjoy.
