Pear Crunch
Salsa

Our pear crunch salsa may sound a bit unusual but has so much flavor and texture you’re sure to love it.

With its sweet and crunchy taste it blends perfectly with a simple green salad made of the bolder greens like arugula, watercress, dandelion, escarole, endive or radicchio.

Another simple option is to try this pear salsa alone as a light side dish to complement any meal or see the easy serving suggestions below for more quick meal ideas. It's a taste filled salsa recipe that is quick and versatile.

Yield 3-4 cups

You will need 5 ingredients:

- Pears
- Celery
- Jicama
- Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- Honey

Ingredients:

2 pears – cored and diced
(use a pear that's more on the firm side than soft for best results)

celery – 1 cup diced

jicama – 1 cup diced

lemon juice – fresh squeezed
(enough to coat fruit and vegetables)

honey – to taste

In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Allow to marinate for at least an hour.

Quick Tip:
If you want to speed up preparation, you can put the pear, celery and the jicama into a blender or food processor and process to desired texture, then add to the mixing bowl. Use one large rib of celery and half of a medium sized jicama when using this method.

Note:
You may want to process the pear first to be sure you do not over process it and turn it into mush. Once you have the texture you want, remove the pear, place in the mixing bowl and process celery and jicama together. Then place these in the mixing bowl when ready.
