The classic flavors of Greek cooking come through in this easy Greek salad dressing recipe. Oregano, basil and garlic blended with oil and vinegar create this quick and delicious salad dressing.

Try it over a simple salad or as an easy marinade. See below for quick salad ideas and serving suggestions for this delicious Greek dressing.



Yield: approx. 1 cup



You will need 5 ingredients:

- Olive Oil
- Vinegar
- Dried Oregano
- Dried Basil
- Fresh Garlic

Ingredients:

olive oil – 1/2 cup

vinegar – 1/2 cup
(Some options are red wine, white, balsamic or champagne vinegar.
Choose you personal preference)

dried oregano – 1/4 tsp

dried basil – 1/4 tsp

fresh garlic – one clove crushed

In a mixing bowl or a jar with a lid, place all the ingredients and whisk or shake well to combine. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Quick Salad Ideas - Salad Dressing Serving Suggestions:

Vegetable Salad Dressing:

** Serve this quick salad dressing over a simple vegetable salad.

Vegetable Marinade:

** You could also use our Greek salad dressing as a marinade for vegetables. Simply make the dressing and cut up your favorite vegetables into bite size pieces. Then place the vegetables in a glass bowl or in a glass jar with a lid and pour the dressing over all. Cover and refrigerate and allow to marinate for at least a couple of hours, stirring the vegetables periodically.

Quick Egg Salad:

** Toss this flavorful salad dressing with chopped hard boiled eggs, celery, kalamata olives, cucumber and roasted red peppers for a great egg salad and egg salad sandwich filling. Serve on focaccia bread or scoop into pita pockets. It's a fast, easy and delicious lunch or snack.
