Japanese Salad Dressing
A simple dressing, this Japanese salad dressing if filled with great flavor that combines sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger and cilantro. A delicious and easy to make dressing.
This quick dressing is great on salads but can be used in many other ways. See the simple serving suggestions for some great ideas.
Yield: Approximately 3/4 cup
You will need 5 ingredients:
- Toasted Sesame Oil
- Soy Sauce
- Rice Vinegar
- Fresh Ginger
- Fresh Cilantro

Ingredients:
toasted sesame oil 1/4 cup
* soy sauce 1/4 cup (you can also use tamari soy sauce)
* To reduce the sodium: Use a sodium reduced soy sauce or tamari soy sauce
rice vinegar 1/4 cup
fresh ginger 1/2 tsp grated
fresh cilantro - 1/2 tbsp finely minced

In a mixing bowl or jar with tight fitting lid, whisk or shake all ingredients until thoroughly combined.

Pasta Salad:
** Toss this flavorful salad dressing with udon or soba noodles and top with stir-fried water chestnuts, mushrooms and green beans.
Marinated Vegetable Salad:
** Add this quick salad dressing to halved cherry tomatoes, cheese cubes, cut up broccoli florets and frozen, thawed and drained artichoke hearts.
Vegetarian Salad:
** Make a quick vegetarian salad by tossing this quick salad dressing with mung bean sprouts, shredded red cabbage, bamboo shoots, steamed or stir-fried tempeh and mushrooms. Top with chopped peanuts.
